Animated Storyboards teamed up with LERMA/ in Dallas, Texas to create this otherworldly 3D Hybrid Cinematic for their 2023 Avocados From Mexico Ad for Super Bowl LVII. This animatic style combines Realistic CG Backgrounds and Product combined with Illustrated looking characters, brought to life with fluid animation, lifelike character movement, and dynamic camera turns.
This is the brand’s 8th ad in the past decade, and playfully tells the story of how one magical avocado could change the world. Set in familiar locations such as the Garden of Eden and present day Times Square in New York, and stars comedic actor Ana Faras. AFM became the first produce brand to advertise at the Big Game when they made their debut in 2015. Since then their campaigns have earned more than 90 accolades and recognitions for their unprecedented performance with five consecutive years as one of the top two Big Game campaigns as measured by the Merkle Report.
The teaser and full ad will support the brand’s new 360 marketing campaign designed to celebrate how Avocados From Mexico make everything better — which includes in-store shopper promotions, a new Avocado Glow home, and kitchen accessories line, and interactive digital activations.
