ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
Animated Storyboards teamed up with Goodby & Frito-Lay to create this epic 3D Realistic Cinematic for their 2022 Flamin’ Hot Super Bowl LVI Ad. This animatic style features Realistic CG Backgrounds & Characters (with fur, feathers & scales), lifelike character animation, subtle facial animation, and dynamic camera turns, combined with crisp Audio Design, Edited/Animated to the beat of a popular Music Track.
This will be the first time in Super Bowl history that the Flamin’ Hot snack line will have it’s own in-game spot featuring both the Doritos & Cheetos brands. After a series of pre-releases & teasers, this spot has been all over the headlines in the US leading up to Super Bowl Weekend.
Premise: Bags of the snacks fall from the backpack of a birdwatcher perched on a tree limb set in a jungle. A variety of creatures including a sloth, deer, bear, fox, and crocodile munch on the fallen snacks and their reactions—sharp inhales, “oohs” and “ahhs”— combine to create the backbeat of Salt-N-Pepa’s ’80s hit “Push It.”
Nods: The beatboxing was done by Charlie Puth (the fox) and vocals are by Megan Thee Stallion (the fiery song bird).
